Technology and Security
It's always been an interest of mine to specialize in intellectual property law. It's one of the areas where there is much to be done so intellectual property of people are protected. Today, with surveillance technology on our phones, computer, our tvs and various type of electronics and even how we receive energy and telecommunications data, our security are at risk and our intellectual property is being stolen.
Take for example as a woman, when she is speaking in the privacy of her home. Either she is recording on a device to a therapist or speaking to her loved ones face-to-face, others are listening and that puts her at risk of violence. Either from big corporate telecommunications company who are clocking the data and storing them into various computers that use algorithms to either sell you stuff or to intentionally psychologically torture you. This is a violation of our human right.
I've experienced it. The big tech companies use data from listening to our private conversations or from our online activities to bully us.
For example a woman who admits to grieving an abortion is then subjected to baby products or other type of advertisements about babies.
In a technological world, bullying women and psychologically torturing them is done indirectly.
Another example, say you think a dream that can be constructed by technology is real and you believe it to be true. It could be something that is criminal and you mention it to your loved ones. Next thing you know you are being targeted by groups of people who want to silence you or criminalize you. Or maybe another situation that many women face, a sexual assault by someone in their community, how safe are they to report it or heal if their conversations are being listened to.
Most women do not report it or even discuss it due to their safety or the safety of their family. Yet often times, those who want to destroy her credibility can now use technology to manufacture or alter her consciousness.
For women who are used as prize of war unbeknownst to them or her immediate family, when they become aware, how does surveillance technology and political abuse of psychiatry are used to break her.
It could be said for men and other genders, technology is used to intimidate and destroy them. The best type of violence for victims of violence is created by others to self-injure. As a Canadian, reading and listening to the stories of Indigenous First Nations of this country, this is what all of us see. Technology used to inflict self-harm, genocide. It is the same today, for many people who are targeted. What colonizers want. Land and resources. Therefore, people who are marginalized and hold resources either from previous generations, they are intentionally broken or render invalid by self-interest groups or the state so wealth is not passed down and therefore there is a takeover.
This is happening in Canada to Indigenous people, to second-generation children of immigrants in the United Kingdom or in places like Mauritius. Self-interest groups or corporate empires are colonizing in various ways that is similar to how North America has been colonized. With either killing people or making them sick.
To law technicians, this is where laws have to change. No longer should we accept the digitizing of our telecommunications or energy or security as the only option as it takes away our ability to have privacy, safety and most importantly not be subjected to psychological violence. How we build our homes, our technology either electronics or our telecommunication, even how we listen to music should now have regulations that keeps communities safe.
Frequencies affect us on a greater level that we think. An artist like me should have the right to teach others about technology and colonialism without being subjected to political abuse of psychiatry. Especially when the system contributed to TRY to render her "crazy."
Now that ganja has given me the cognitive ability to see the matrix we live in, and the extreme technological colonialism, let me finally be an EDUCATED WOMEN WITH OPINIONS. For every doctor, lawyer, policy maker, educator, writer or engineer, you're either with colonizers or you're with decolonizers. It's no longer about our colour of skin or our religion.
